Brendan Cellucci has been recalled to the Toronto Blue Jays from triple-A, the team confirmed Tuesday.

Cellucci was promoted alongside Davis Schneider for the matchup against the Detroit Tigers.

Schneider was brought back from triple-A Buffalo.

Cellucci is also joining the major league roster from the farm system.

The Blue Jays confirmed both moves at once.

The team put both players on the active roster ahead of the series.
