A building firm tied to a CFMEU scandal was lost its licence on Wednesday. Regulators stated the company was "not suitable" to hold a construction licence. The decision follows a series of investigations into procurement practices linked to the union.
At the same time, union groups launched a public campaign on the corruption investigator who revealed a $15 billion public works fraud bill. The unions argue the investigator is harshly pursuing union members unfairly. Officials stated that the probe is connected to a wider review of the Big Build program.
