Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is back in the spotlight as a new film, The Social Reckoning, reaches cinemas and streamers. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film recreates her choice to reveal what the company knew internally.
Haugen spoke to journalists she has "extreme worry" about a change in direction at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is making risky bets with AI. She said she hopes the film inspires others to act, telling The Verge she wants it to spark a new wave of insiders speaking out.
