Hurricane Lowell hit Hawaii's western islands on Saturday, Sept. 12. The storm caused damage on Kauai. Officials there directed visitors to stay away until the island has recovered. The governor of Hawaii requested President Trump for federal aid. The Hawaii National Guard members worked on meal distributions in Kauai communities following the storm damage.
