Macklin Celebrini returned to the lineup and scored a goal in a close loss to the Edmonton Oilers. The young attacker, who had been sidelined, took the ice alongside fellow prospect Will Smith, who also featured in the NHL. Even with the defeat, the Sharks saw a bright spot as Ivar Stenberg scored his first-ever professional goal in a separate game against the Boston Bruins.
