Tottenham Hotspur completed an £85 million deal for midfielder Mateus Fernandes on Friday. West Ham United accepted the offer after prolonged discussions. Fernandes passed his medical and signed the contract straight away. Manchester United had shown interest earlier this year. Tottenham matched the asking price to secure the transfer. The midfielder will now join Spurs’ first team before pre-season begins. The club confirmed the move after all documents were signed late on Friday night.
