Michael Taaffe earned his first NFL start. He finished with his first career interception. The Miami Dolphins rookie safety intercepted Kirk Cousins after the break. Taaffe was used at safety with Zayne Anderson. Dante Trader Jr. was left out of the starting group. The interception happened on the drive that opened the half. It gave Miami possession for the opening series of the half. Kirk Cousins later threw his third touchdown. That gave them a lead of 24-13 at that stage. Taaffe's takeaway represented the rookie's maiden NFL interception of his career.
