Bandai Namco revealed the Mobile Suit Gundam RG model and the RG Project vision on that day. Filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama will take the helm for the upcoming anime, scheduled to premiere in the following year. The project creates a brand-new Gundam universe, completely separate from prior lore. The new model is tied to the forthcoming Gundam Rogue Orbit project. Kamiyama aims to construct a original timeline for the series.
