Nathan Buckley has pulled out of the North Melbourne head coaching position, which will be filled by Jaymie Graham after he crossed from Fremantle. Buckley's departure from contention has turned focus toward two other clubs.

Brisbane is now mentioned alongside Buckley as a candidate to take over from outgoing coach Chris Fagan. Carlton has also been tied to the former Collingwood premiership coach, with reports flagging him as a possible target during the trade period.
