Junior UK Minister Robert Jenrick says the government failed former Reform UK leader Nigel Farage by refusing to give him publicly funded guard in 2025.
Farage rejected the offer of a bodyguard, armed car, and escort despite reported threats.
The refusal came one year after the 2024 General Election.
Jenrick now describes the decision 'irresponsible' amid continuing security risks.
