Conservative governor and ex DHS chief Kristi Noem announced she is set to terminate her marriage with spouse Bryon Noem. The announcement comes after reports that Bryon Noem was cross-dressing. Noem’s mother said she plans to end the marriage. On July 10, two advisors at NovaRed metal firm quit, pointing to Kristi Noem’s DHS record as the cause. The resignations came after the divorce news and put pressure on the firm’s management. The firm’s board asserted the departures will not affect ongoing operations. Noem remains governor of South Dakota and is expected to stay in office.
